I bought a shirt today at Voertman's with the 2005 schedule on the back, but on the front is a green helment with North Texas in white in the new font/logo. Think that means anything....?

Yes. Take and picture of it and post for everyone here to see the new helmet if you get a chance.

New NT shirt at Voertmans

Here is our first glimpse at the new helmet. MGQ purchased this shirt at Voertmans - they always are good to us.

Something of note............on the full picture of the shirt - notice the Arkansas State logo biggrin.gif - Looks like they may be back to their best logo they have ever had. Good move for them if they did.

And wouldn't green headwear worn by a football player be called a.............helmint? wink.gif

Heading to Voertmans this Saturday! Nice look and the "North Texas" on the "helmint" doesn't look so bad.

GMG!

OK, I'll go on record:

If that is exactly what the helmets are going to look like (which it probably isn't), I don't like it. Hopefully that is just someone's photoshop-type attempt to emulate what they will look like, and the green color, font size, font positioning, etc. is just an educated guess. I'm holding out for better.

That looks terrible. At least it isn't an Eagle.

Well, if you enlarge the helmet pic and hold your hand over the -ORTH -EXAS part then you can visualize a NT on that same helmet. I say we sneak into the equipment room and do surgery on the decals! cool.gif

I think that is the same logo that was on the helmet in the denton paper the other day. Something that I noticed was that neither of them had a black face mask. Are we abandoning that? or is it just that it is easier to print a mask that is just the color of the background?

Meangreen 63, I bought a 3x at Vortmans last year but you have to take what the give ya cause the pickins are slim, no pun inteded, for the big man.

Also you can order online for big sizes.

BTW: On the back of the shirt I think our Eagle Logo looks better than any of the other school logos. I have to say the new Logos and branding has really grown on me. The best we have ever had in my opinion.

I know it is not going to happen, but I would really like to see the new eagle on the helmet. Green Helmet with the white eagle would look great. Part of me has always felt that just putting "North Texas" on the helmet was a bit of a "give-up".
