Invite to all NT fans making the trip to BR

I invite you to stop by the Team KATT tailgating site and check out of things are SUPPOSE to be done on Saturdays in the Fall.

I used y'alls map for your tailgate and added our site. Look for the pruple 'X" and the Team KATT on the map and that is where we are.

If you happen to get lost all you have to do is ask for someone to point you towards the parade grounds.

IF I can get a ride from Ft Hood, I hope to see some of you there. If I cant make it I have made sure that my friends take care of y'all.

Who is going to BR? How long is the drive? Anyone have an extra ticket and seat?

I am starting to regret not making plans to go.

From North Fort Worth, it is 483 miles to BR. Mapquest estimates that the drive would take 7hrs 45min from that point.

*Crip* TeamKatt, can you keep us up to date about the conditions in BR as regards "Katrina". I heard it mentioned on the Weather Channel that the electricity will likely go out in a broad area around NO, and in most cases won't be back on for TWO WEEKS!

I posted this in the Katrina thread but will do it here too.

This what I have got so far. My dad works for the Shell plant in Norco which is right outside New Orleans. They have not begun to shut down the plant, which takes HOURS to do, because their weather people have said that it is gonna turn east before it makes landfall. Which puts it in Mississippi.

BUT even if it does hit New Orleans Baton Rouge should only get alittle wind and some rain. LSU draws its power from underground lines so even if Baton Rouge loses power LSU will be up and running.

I dont think the game will be played on another date because I have looked at the scheldules and neither team has an open date together, and since it is OOC it is not that big of a deal.

However to all you fans that may be flying into New Orleans or staying in New Orleans I would keep an eye on this thing and be ready to change your plans.
