Anyone know if the Rainbow Warriors are on the list? Because that's clearly hostile toward the native peoples of Hawaii.

Good for FSU. I wish other schools on the list the best of luck as they fight this stupid ruling as well.

Wasn't that an issue last year & Hawai'i altered their 'nickname'?

I remember someone grumbling about it, but to my knowledge, nothing was done to change the mascot or official school nickname. I'm pretty sure it's still Rainbow Warriors in NCAA 05.

This thing has gotten way to much press. But hey while they are at it might as well make some money to.

I am gonna start a lawsuit aganist Notre Dame because I am Irish and I do not like the way that we are looked upon by their mascot.

Where will it end I wonder?

I guess when God himself comes down from on high and DEMANDS that the Saints change their names because the term saint is used for someone that does GOOD things. I guess something will be done.

The grumbling was "rainbows" doesn't sound very tuff. The renamed/packaged and launched a marketing campaign.

The word "Rainbow" must have sounded too violent..... so they just left the name "Warriors".
