Well its 12:30 AM and the lights at Fouts are on... looks like they are doing some work on the field.

FOUTS FIELD WEBCAM

Maybe someone finally figured out that they could turn the lights on and get the work done at night instead of the day when the field is about 140 degrees. Too bad they didn't think of that earlier. Of course now they have to fend off about a million crickets.

EW!!!! Honestly though, think NT spray around Fouts before the games begin? Since we've got so many later games this year, I don't think it'll be all that great for our visiting prospectives to get rained on by crickets. Tortillas, yes, crickets, no.

They probably do it to protect their investment. A lot of the bigger colleges keep their lights on everynight of the year to make sure nothing gets vandalized. Until the new turf was put in, it probably wasn't needed. They were probably praying for someone to go vandalize the old turf so that they could get the new stuff.

The pellets don't settle right during the day because of the heat, so they do it at night (so I was told by RV this past weekend). Something about thermal expansion.

They should just leave that camera up the entire season. For us out-of-staters it would be great to get any visuals (for the games not on TV). Is there any regulation against having a web cam up like that during a game?

I was thinking the exact same thing. Why couldn't they do this? I can't think of any reason why.
