after the LaTech game? We are thinking Shreveport, probably at the Horseshoe. I think that's the place that was recommended. We need to make reservations, anyone have any other ideas?

Well, too late for the Horseshoe. Just checked and no rooms are available for Oct. 22. Which one is no. 2, or is it going to be get what you can find? Any info appreciated.

I don't know what is number two, but I have stayed at the Shreveport Holiday Inn; and I have a word of advice for you: make sure to request a room on the side of the hotel away from the train tracks. Other than that, it was nice palce to stay.

We wanted to stay at one of the larger casinos but they are all booked. We are doing the Isle of Capri. If you go to Expedia you can still book rooms as low as $125.00/night.

We always stay at the Holiday Inn by the Hollywood casino. We are planning to stay there again ... the rooms are $100 a night. They just recently remodeled the lobby and some rooms.

Hollywoods is where we wanted to stay and I couldn't remember what was close by. Is the Holiday Inn within walking distance? Do you know the telephone number or anything? It might be worth me canceling the reservations we have at the Isle.

The newly-weds, Mr. and Mrs. EagleMBA, will be staying at the Holiday Inn Downtown. The 1 King Nonsmoking rate was $80.19 advance guaranteed. Looks like it is in a good location vis-a-vis the casinos.

Just made our reservation for the Holiday Inn Downtown on I-20. It's across the river from two or three casinos, Sam's Town and Hollywood, I think. Reservations said they had all types of rooms still available. King non-smoking room for $99. See you there. We'll be looking for people wearing green!

I am making reservations this minute. Is anyone staying two nights? Just curious.

My brother turns 21 the week prior so my husband and I are taking my brother and his girlfriend to the game AND gambling. Should be fun!

Looks like the Holiday Inn is turning into Mean Green headquarters! See you there.

I believe the team hotel is the Clarion on 70th street (used to be the Sheraton)

1419 East 70th St

Shreveport, LA 71105-4925 Phone: (318) 797-9900

Fax: (318) 798-2923

the Clarion is not close to casinos but close to good eating, etc

The Remington if you are looking for something nicer downtown although the Holiday Inn is nice.

I live in Shreveport and am excited to have the team staying right around the corner from my house. I really would like to put something together for all us Mean Green fans to hook up and do some partying. Anyone interested?

Oops! Should have said Mean Green FAN headquarters! Should we make plans at the game? Or meet at one of the casinos? We were just planning on doing a little gambling and celebrating our win!

Just read several TripAdvisor reviews about the Holiday Inn and they scared me! Talked about being dirty, noisy, moldy and mildewy! And bad food to boot! Reviews were as recent as earlier this month. Anyone know anything about the Best Western Chateau Suites in Shreveport? They are in the same area close to the casinos and about the same price. TripAdvisor rated them as the #4 hotel and the Holiday Inn as #19. We may just bite the bullet moneywise and go with Sam's Town (#3). A co-worker says they're nice, especially the bathrooms! Just can't stand a bad hotel.

We just stayed at the Chateau Suites a few weeks ago. It was fine. Clean, Basic. Close to the casinos. They have a shuttle but for whatever reason it stops at Midnight. They also have full breakfast that comes with the room.
