I read in the DMN where UT will be in "throwback" uniforms for their opening game against ULL, much like OU did vs. NT. Would NT ever do this and which former uniforms would they honor....Flying Worm, Joe Greene's, Steve Ramsey's, Scott Davis' ?

I would love to see it, but it is a waste of money at this time. If we were playing with a $60 to $70 million budget, then I would be all for it.

You would have to get fans to sponsor it by either paying for the retro unis and helmets upfront or agree to after the game. How much would a whole uniform set and helmet cost?

I kinda like it for one game, wouldnt like them for good as I think the longhorn is one of the best looking helmets (along with Michigan, Penn State and Notre Dame)

Were these the same ones they wore when they won their last N.C.? 69 I believe?

and as for my stand on the throwbacks,i think for the stadium opening gam wearing the worm jerseys/helmet would be nice. inviting a bunch of players from the worm era to the game to be honored. and sending out brochures to every alum in texas,so atleast they know that we field a football team. and kicking AF's arses all the way back to Colorado. it would be nice, but probably a waste of money for one game, maybe if they were annual throwbacks, like if we played LT every year,we both would wear throwbacks.
