Three senior football players leave team

DENTON – Running back Roy Bishop and linebackers Arther McNac and Lee Clay have left the UNT football team for personal reasons.

The three seniors were projected as backups this season.

I didn't know that Clay was still on the team. I wish Bishop well. I hope he goes to a 1-AA or D-II school where he can play this fall.

Sorry to see Bishop and McNac go. I was hoping that one of the two could contribute at the FB position. Bishop ran through Baylor a couple of years ago like a knife through butter. Too bad.

Bishop is the one we will really miss. I said last year I would have converted him to linebacker. He's big enough and can really move. I dont think Lee Clay ever got over being "posterized" in that practice last year by Joey Byerly.
