Well, number 3 on the DC isn't bad, but I don't see him getting past Strahan.  It looks like he will peak at number 2 until he finds a different team...

I doubt he'll get to #2 on the depth chart. He's behind Justin Tuck, who was a star and team MVP at Notre Dame. The Giants drafted him in the 3rd round. Now, Tuck's a little undersized, so Adrian has a shot, and we've had players overcome such situations before (Kassell comes to mind), but it would be an uphill battle for him just to get to #2.

No one thought that Kassell would have over taken Rocky Calmus on the depth chart either. I can think of a ton of players that didn't make it at the pro level.

I am not saying that Awasom is going to do it, but I Like you am not giving up hope.

NT players who have overcome? How about starting with ex Mean Green great Brian Waters who "only" made the NFL's All Pro team last year and with NT ex great and All American Abner Haynes' former team--the Kansas City Chiefs? cool.gif

The other day I read every stinkin' article on the Giants site looking for new on Adrian. There was none to be found. This doesn't tell me he is going to make #2 DE.

      The 2-0 ladies deserve a game thread. After taking care of business against two D1 opponents this week, they travel to Eugene to play an Oregon Ducks team in what should be a winnable game. The Lady Ducks are 2-0 after wins over California Baptist and Nevada, but are coming off a season in which they finished last in the Pac-12 at 11-21, 2-16 and lost in the conference tournament to Colorado, 79-30. After SFA transfer Kyla Deck led the way against Alcorn State with 27 points, the ladies used a much more balanced effort yesterday to beat Texas Southern. Four were in double figures: Moore with 20, Wooten with 16, Hardaway with 15, and Lampkin with 11. The ladies play at a fast pace but still are too sloppy with the ball from what I picked up yesterday. This will be a great opportunity for a win against a power conference opponent.

      Yes he did. It would be assisting to not acknowledge it. But notice he also said the result wasn’t satisfactory “the last couple of weeks.” It has been two years.

      You need to listen to that again. Notice that he specified in what ways he was doing a fantastic job--he is a hard worker, etc. But he clearly stated that the defensive performance was unsatisfactory.

      That was not my takeaway from that coach speak answer. What I did takeaway was that he wasn’t considering a change during the season. He also said Caponi was doing a “fantastic” job.
