OUCH! ULL loses strength coach to 1AA WKU

Like UL, WKU is a member of the Sun Belt Conference, but the Hilltoppers compete in Division 1-AA in football, so the Cajuns have lost a vital member of their athletic staff to a program that competes at a lower level.

However, Ohrt was in charge of conditioning for all of the Cajuns' men's and women's athletic squads, while his new position at WKU will solely involve the football program and will include a pair of assistants.

For Cajun football coach Rickey Bustle, the departure is a frustrating one after he replaced two assistant coaches last spring.

The UL AD just left for this reason. He said that it was impossible to get a decent pay for his coaches and that he was tired of fighting the good fight for them. But you can't fault their system entirely for this. Bustle is the highest paid Sun Belt coach (he makes about $400K a year if he hits his incentives) so he is taking up a lot of their salary cap room with his own paycheck. I would be willing to bet that the coaches have left UL for more money... If I were Ricky Bustle, I would take a pay cut and award some pay raises to my hard working assistants.

      Army Week Unis

      Not a fan of the black but then again we've seen for years, what fans care for doesn't really matter to be completely honest when it comes to uniforms and school colors. We'll ask the question again that seems to trigger some of the people here, please give me an example of one player who has said they chose to come to a school or not go to a school because of the uniform choices changing constantly. What I do absolutely hate and think makes us look bad is the T shirts hanging out underneath the jerseys.

      Just here to piss off a handful of people and say the school recognizes black as an official color.... The uni is fun, the players like them.. lets win.

      Army Cadets?

      There are usually at least some cadets at away games -- usually cadet leadership and cadets from the general area of the game. The pep band also travels, but I don't know if they travel to all games. The Army team will go over to the visitor's seating area for the playing of Alma Mater after the game just as they do at home games.

      Minnesota

Minnesota defeated ORU 80-57 Their Field Goal Percentage was 57.7% Their 3 Point Percentage was 61.1% They had 9 total turnovers Defense will clearly be the key to the game.

      Prediction vs Army

      I just can't see our defense having their best game ever against a ranked opponent whose strength on offense lines up perfectly with our weakness on defense. I'd guess we punt 4 times and they punt once and we lose 63-42. Should still be an exciting game like 2007 vs Navy.
