A lot of dudes around here bring him up all the time (honestly, he really wouldn't be the worst hire), but only because they're familiar with his work at UTA when we were playing them home/home each year.
Again, this just seems like a recommendation based on familiarity. The scope must be broader.
Perhaps North Texas could provide more than two years' notice to the AAC, in which case the AAC exit fee may be reduced to a much more reasonable amount.
If he is the hire, then we should do everything we can to keep Phil Forte. Make him Associate Head Coach or something.
Since continuity has worked in the past, perhaps I have a bias in favor of keeping existing Staff Members.
