A lot of dudes around here bring him up all the time (honestly, he really wouldn't be the worst hire), but only because they're familiar with his work at UTA when we were playing them home/home each year. Again, this just seems like a recommendation based on familiarity. The scope must be broader. -

Scott Cross is 50 and the only UTA men's basketball coach with a willing record. His Troy teams play good defense as well. -

Head coach Jase Herl will win here
If he is the hire, then we should do everything we can to keep Phil Forte. Make him Associate Head Coach or something. Since continuity has worked in the past, perhaps I have a bias in favor of keeping existing Staff Members.
