North Texas should own the St.Patrick’s Day Parade in downtown Dallas. It’s an event that is made for us. First, it’s the correct color. Almost everyone in the parade and watching the parade is wearing green. Second, it’s in our own backyard. We are the hometown university for the DFW so we don’t have to introduce ourselves to anyone. We’re on the heels of a Mean Geeen bowl win (?), and our championship men’s and women’s basketball is in the midst of another winning season. The Green Brigade should March, the cheerleaders should cheer and the North Texas Dancers should, well, dance. Why aren’t we involved, in charge of that is this easy event with high visibility ?? GO MEAN GREEN
