Possible recruits at shootout

Dallas Showtyme Black, a contender in the top division of the Denton Shootout, is coached by NT video manager Erven Davis with assistance from his brother Chris.

Last season NT signed Harold Stewart from Erven's team and was the second choice of Marquez Haynes who went to Boston College.

Sunday I saw the Showtyme defeat a Waco team. In attendance were coach Jones, coach Leonard and coach Steadman. Coach Rike may very well have been there, but I did not see him. Having that many coaches in attendance is a strong indicator that NT is recruiting at least one of the players.

TexasHoops.com lists only one player, Justin Mason of Amarillo Palo Duro, on the Showtyme's roster as being recruited by NT. Since he has committed to Texas and is the star of the team, it is doubtful NT is still recruiting him.

This time of year it is difficult to know who is recruiting whom.

Below is the Dallas Showtyme roster. I hope everything is correct. The Shootout program often has mistakes in it.

Our own justin Barnett's Little brother is playing in the tourney too....

If u are jonesin' for some basketball like me this is a pretty sweet little ticket going on on campus! Spent half my sunday up there already and getting ready to go back....

He plays for Mansfield. His parents were in the front row. Unfortunately, they did not get to see him play very much.

about three and a half weeks ago he tore his ankle up pretty bad in practice in mansfield....he is still recovery but he did show soem energy in his playing time he did get today.....

Mansfield is ridiculously different than it was in my days there...we had one school and a badass girls team....now we have like 3 or 4 four schools and a talent spread across the district.... haven't kept up much since i left....so i couldn't tell ya if the school actually are doing any good....

Lots of scouts and coaches out there tonight...one fo the coaches from ASU saw me and my friends and noticed the pit crew shirt my buddy was wearing and definitely remembered us! Good times!

Heading back up for a game at 845....rumor is some kid from Oak Cliff or something is playing tonight and has NBA potential in the next three years....we will see...
