Apparently CFN thinks the Big XII South will be a war of attrition this year. Here's a list of the local schools and who they will supposedly lose to this season:

Texas- Ohio State, Missouri, Texas aTm

OU- Texas, Texas Tech

Texas aTm- Clemson, Colorado, Texas Tech, Oklahoma

Texas Tech- Nebraska, Texas

So...OU won't be good enough to beat Texas this year but they will be able to handle the Aggies. The same Aggies who will be good enough to beat Texas, but not Tech? This is the same Tech team who will be good enough to take it to Oklahoma but not Texas.

Should be a hell of a ride then. Oh, and even if it means they get to beat OU in the cotton bowl, if UT loses three games this year to the above mentioned teams I'd take it because they won't even sniff a BCS bowl...I hear the Holiday Bowl is nice in December.

I'm no football expert, but I would for once give them the benefit of the doubt and think they are aware of how their schemes matchup. Sometimes a team and their gameplan works well against another.

Maybe they see something that OU has that will work against the Aggies, but not against UT.

I don't think it's completely farfetched. It happens to some extent every year in the Big12 South.

You only have to look back to 2002 to see a pretty similar scenario. I left Nebraska in where applicable. Forgive me for omitting Baylor from the analysis.laugh.gif

---Picking games especially scores is risky..... Tech defeated once beaten California (USC, the National Champion, was their other other loss) but had lost to New Mexico and A&M who lost to Baylor who defeated us worse than they had defeated Texas State..

Any week anything can happen.... that is why I don't automaticly concede to LSU even though winning is unlikely.

Last year Tech defeat Nebraska by 60 which defeated Baylor by 32.... Baylor only lost by 25 to Tech--- plus Baylor had defeated A&M which Defeated Tech...... It is a Mad, Mad,Mad, Mad, World... anything can happen.

LSU is not a cinch loss nor is the lopsided score.
