convoluted logic or convoluted deduction by yourself?

The BG example is merely to point out past history and trends. You twisting the statement into a+b=c scenario is childish.

As far as the NU td being lucky........if the pass was not completed would that have been unlucky?

If you want to point out history and trends, then TCU won't win its season opener against against OU. You didn't win against Nebraska.

Claiming luck and whatnot depends on who you are rooting for. When I was at the TCU/Nebraska game, I wasn't there to rooting for anyone in purple (although I thank TCU for scheduling Nebraska so that I could get a chance to watch a game in Lincoln Memorial Stadium).

Comments on ya'll's comments:

1. I hope TCU wins--but will be lucky to even make it close...Programs with 60-70 million dollar athletic budgets just simply put the next blue-chipper in the line up when the starter is gone...they fall very little in talent in such cases.

2. Tech putting 70 on a Nebraska team is not a good comparison...its bcs against bcs

3. If MWC offered NT an invite, we would hurt ourselves getting to the table to sign the papers...the MWC is light years above the WAC as an all around conference. If TCU ever needs a travel partner--we are there! It would never happen without the new stadium--but it doesn't hurt to dream. wink.gif

one more time........I never predicted a TCU victory!

Although, the last time we opened the season in Norman (1996 or 1995) TCU won. Trend/History

what does this mean? Very odd statement

Agree....... you are giving BCS teams in general too much respect. They can be beaten by non BCS teams. A few are extremely good but the rest can be beaten.

OU is NOT one of them.

They're predicting a 24-21 game or something to that effect.

This is the same froggy team that failed to go to a bowl last year, lost to S. Florida and Tulane at home, got blown out by Texas Tech and UAB and needed OT to beat Northwestern.

OU wins this game soooo big that the Frogs will be dumbfounded, as they usually are, anyway!!!! Fran's recruiting classes have all graduated, so now it's all up to Gary Patterson, which is like saying, "Do you want fries with that?"

If I'm laying money on it, I'd have to go with OU. But I'd LOVE to see the Frogs put a spear in the Sooners. I'll definately be rooting for them and the Longhorns to whup OU's ample arse this season.

I'll go to the OU-TCU game. OU will whip the Frogs. Franchione's guys are gone now, and the fat guy who dresses with Dick Cavett turtlenecks who replaced him isn't 1/10th the recruiter Dennis was. Didn't TCU's AD bail out as well?

Dick Cavett's fat, turtleneck-wearing twin belongs at Starbucks, anyway, not at the great Owen Field in Norman, Oklahoma. Bob Stoops could run anyone on their roster at QB and whip that Horned Frogs "Rusty Gate" defense. I'm talking about Paul Thompson, Rhett Bomar, Tommy Grady, it won't matter.

I'm gonna stretch out on that proverbial limb and say the Sooners squash the Frogs somewheres in the neighborhood of 48-12, give 'er take a few points each way.
