........what is the name of one (or more) of your traditional stop-overs ( for food, pit stop, etc) between your home town and Fouts Field? You know, as in the places you most always stop en route to Game Day at Fouts OR on the way home from the game?

Also, which one of you think you travel the farthest for a Mean Green football game in Denton, Texas, America? blink.gif

My trip from Farmers Branch to Denton takes 20 minutes, but actually takes 3 hours and 20 minutes because I make a stop at our cute neighbor chick's house first for a warm-up.

Last few years:

Trophy Club, TX. about 20 miles, stop at the store at 407 and 35W, Justin exit, for tailgate refreshments.

Now:

Houston, TX. about 310 miles, probably stop at the in-laws outside of Waco.

We'll be coming from Mustang, Oklahoma about a 2 hour and 45 minute drive. Normally stop in Ardmore to stretch and McDonalds for a quick light meal if we're hungry. Travis tells us he makes the trip in two hours. Not sure that I want to know that!

From Mansfield through all of Ft. Worth to Denton about 1.5 hours. We leave earlier than that to eat at various restrauants in Denton, then to try and get parking even half way to the stadium...we leave about 3 to 3.5 hours before the game.

Fort Worth, on the north side of Saginaw. It usually takes me about 30 to 35 min to drive to Fouts. I usually stop at the Albertsons down the street to get gas, as well as ice and bottled water for the tailgating. And all the time I'm wearing my North Texas gear. wink.gif

I have about a three hours (and change) drive from Texarkana up to Denton. This year's trips may be longer, as I plan to make a stop in Terrell........to visit my good friend Jim Plummer, who will be in the state mental hospital by then.

Drive in from Austin. Takes about 3 hours. I always stop at the Czech stop in West. By the way I was there this weekend, bought a NT water bottle and requested they stock more NT stuff.

Stopped at Woody's on Saturday on the way down to H-town to see the Rangers win the only game they've won in recent memory. Got a 1/2 lb. of jerky.
