It seems like everybody these days is renovating or building something new onto their stadium.

Univ. of Iowa new pressbox artist drawing

One thing I do like, for when we ever build our new stadium, is their live webcam....click on the webcam link at the top of this page for live views and the photo gallery for past actual construction photos.

---It seems the worse stadiums were constructed during th late 60's and 70's. How many of those NFL /MLB stadiums have been destroyed and replaced. Many were cheaply built, while many older stadiums are still in use but have been modernized and basicly have a good structure. It is also interesting to note the worst quality US cars where made in the 70's and into early 80's as well and then foreign cars really pushed into the market with better quality. Makes you wonder why.

---Just guessing but the 50-60 year olds at that time (who were running things pretty much) grew up during the depression and seemed to have done things on the cheap and not paid as much attention to quality and stadiums only lasted 30 years.... There are more 50, early-60 cars running than 70 models, most of them were falling apart from day one..

--I realize this isn't football but a lot of stadiums constructed then (3-Rivers, Riverfront, Patroits, Buffalo, Seattle-dome, etc.) have disappeared because they became junkpiles.
