Didn't they lose their best WR this off season though?

Yeah...and they will most likely have the worst receiving corps in the Sun Belt. Kind of sucks for them...

Watch...they'll get like 500 passing yards on September 10th! mad.gif

I wouldn't count on it if Van Malone's secondary swarms like it did in the Spring.

Article also cites two other Sun Belt players

QB -- Clint Marks, Middle Tennessee: The quarterback guided the Blue Raiders to the 15th-rated passing attack in the nation last season and first in the Sun Belt. He enters this season as a junior, but has already set a few school records. He threw for 2,749 yards and a whopping 70.4 completion percentage in 2004. Only two players had a higher percentage -- Louisville's Stefan Lefors and Toledo's Bruce Gradkowski.

DL -- Brandon Guillory, Louisiana-Monroe: You might not know him, but I'll bet all the Sun Belt teams do. He is the leader of the Indians defense and had 47 tackles last season -- 18 of them for a loss (5.5 sacks).

CB -- Willie Hughley, Florida Atlantic: With FAU joining Division I-A this season, Hughley is ready to reign terror on the Sun Belt Conference. The cornerback led the Owls with six picks and 11 broken passes. He has 14 career interceptions and this year will get a chance to play against some high-profile teams (Oklahoma State, Minnesota and Louisville).

Middle Tennessee has some very capable receivers stepping up with plenty of playing time and experience. Most preseason polls rank our receivers 2nd in the conference to only Louisiana-Monroe. We may have lost Kerry Wright, but we also lost Tyrone Calico, when Wright stepped up. Make no mistake about it. We have players who will step up and be stars in this conference, and we will be airing it out often on our competition.

I don't know about receiver tandems, but if there is any one SBC receiver who can top the Mean Green's Johnny Quinn I want to know who that person is.

Of course, any team who passes more than NT (which is 99% of them) would tend to help receivers get better rankings, too.

THANK YOU Plumm! FINALLY someone says something that makes sense concerning JQ. If the dude got 30 balls thrown to him in a game, he will be a full-fledged star in the SB...nay, the nation.

BUT, look at what he does with only @ 10 a game! wink.gif
