Last year, some pitcher from U of New Orleans was drafted in the first round, so maybe they are pretty good.

For the record, that pitcher from New Orleans was Thomas Diamond, the 1st round pick of the Texas Rangers.

The SBC is actually having a down year.

The University of Louisiana is pretty good though.

The level of play in the SBC will only get tougher in the coming years.

FIU, normally a top 25 club, is having a down year.

The new programs coming into the SBC are pretty good programs, particularly FAU and Troy.

FAU is a top 20 club most seasons and has a top 60 RPI.

Troy is an up and coming program also with a top 60 RPI.

New Orleans has been to the CWS.

Louisiana has been to the CWS(2000)

At least in the south, baseball is equal to or has surpassed women's basketball as the #3 sport behind football and basketball. It is the future.

You guys better come ready to play.
