DENTON (2/7/05) - The North Texas men’s basketball team signed autographs and met with aspiring young hoopsters at Denton Youth Basketball games this past Saturday.

Justin Barnett, Mike Jones, Marqus Mitchell, Ron Harris, Isaac Hines and Michael Sturns paid a visit to the Denton Youth Basketball League at local gyms on Saturday morning. The Mean Green student-athletes signed posters and posed for pictures with young members of the DYBL at Denton High School and Calhoun Middle School. One lucky fan received a signed basketball from the players.

"It’s always fun getting out there with the kids," said senior Justin Barnett. "They come to our games and support us. So it was cool to go to some of their games and have them look over and see us. It’s always nice to give back to the community."

Members of the NT women’s basketball team will make appearances at the youth basketball games next Saturday morning, Feb. 12 at McMath Middle School.
