This team cannot be overlooked, in fact any team that we are playing cannot be overlooked the way we have been playing as of late. I was able to watch some of the NMSU game on the dish at my friends house last Thursday, and they should have beaten Denver, in Denver. Despite the teams horrible record, they are able to light it up and if we come in not ready to play, we could very well lose again.

The team needs to be metally prepared to play tonight, and they need to start being a much more physical team. They give up way too many offensive rebounds and lack the desire to play great defense. I think that a good game tonight could be a much needed turn around they need going into what is arguably the hardest part of the confrence schedule.

Yeah... i don't think that this game will be won or lost according to heart. In my opinion, very few of our losses had anything to do with that or motivation. The guys will come ready to play tonight, and i'll lay our chances on one factor: getting out of Hopkin's shooting slump.

I agree that Hopkins shooting has to improve or the team cannot win. He is the man and 2-14 won't do it.

I also agree with SportsGuy. The last three home games, the opposition has snagged the big rebounds, especially those allowing another possesion. We have to start consistently putting a body on people and then going up after the ball with some tenacity.

New Mexico State is down this year, and we have already beat them in Las Cruces. But, they have played right with Denver and WKU recently, and the Mean Green have lost some swagger since the first matchup. It will important to get it back tonight in front of what will hopefully be a decent home crowd, just in time for the stretch drive.
