Have you seen him play??? He cannot penetrate a defense, very poor passer and cannot shoot. A point guard is not judged by steals in high school. He needs to take his game to the next level (college). I watched him play the last two games and he needs alot of improvement.

I'm seriously wondering the same thing about you. Hines is a true classic point guard. He is pass first, and worries about his points only when it comes within the context of the offense, and is constantly setting up his teammates. I have no clue where you got the idea he was a poor passer, I have not come away with that impression after seeing him one time. He is also the leader of the team along with Hopkins, and in the first exhibition game, that leadership trait was obvious.

The problem with our losses had nothing to do with point guard play, in fact that has been the most solid and consistent thing about the team this year, because of Hines. He HAS taken his game to the next level as you suggested, he spent two years at a junior college and according to the Sporting News college hoops preview I am holding in my hand, was the 7th best JC player signed in the nation.

In all honesty, this is the LAST guy you could look at to blame for any troubles this season.

As more proof he is a selfless floor general, he leads the team in rebounds, as a true point guard. What more do you want him to do?

Yep... talk about good decision making, he ranks 2nd in the conference with assists to turnovers ratio.

I really have no idea what you are looking at that suggests that he's to blame. Were you AT the games?

Did you watch the game last night???? I distinctly remembering Isaac playing damn good....the guy doesn't shoot often....he has RIDICULOUS passing abilities....

You sure you weren't out watching the Denton Rec Leagues again????

I will admit that I have missed the last two home games, but there is no way you can be talking about the same point guard I watched at the start of the season. Hines is the BEST PG the Mean Green has seen in a long long long time. PG are meant to lead the team and set up the off. and Hines does just that time and time again.

What the hell are you talking about? Isaac is the best point guard this school has seen in a long long time. Lee Green, Marqus Mitchell, Scott Ronniger, not even close. Jerome Rogers? Closer, but still not there. Jerome looked for his shot more than he looked to pass half the time, and in traffic IF he decided to try to get the guys the ball, they never knew where it was coming from. When Isaac penetrates and dishes, its hitting somebody in the hands. His leadership on the court is visible and a huge factor in the success these guys are having this year.

If you want to question Isaac Hines, just think about how the team played against TCU with him in the game and after he had to leave.
