I made no bones about my opinion of our fields last year. I thought we probably had the worst field in the country for a Div 1a program. I couldn't be happier with what we have this year and when you consider that it is a stop gap measure it is remarkable! The fee is at work and is making a difference.

I just heard about what our girls faced at UALR, and it made what we had last year sound like heaven on earth. They played in a public park! If that wasn't bad enough, there was a 10 year olds game being played right next to them. I don't know if we had to run on to their field to get our ball or they on to ours, but it certainly reflects poorly on that university! Hard to believe!

Hey reb, you are right, but also there is a difference in availability of fields. North Texas has so many fields in the D/FW area that i am sure a college could find some qualities fields to play on even if they don't own the complex. I doubt that little rock has anything liek richland college fields or Russell Creek in Plano! we have money and they don't ! We have the resources and much larger audience for soccer here then what hey do so even if UNT didn't have a field, it would be very easy for the univeristy to find a complex or a highschool that would have an immaculate surface!

If you think that's bad, you should check out their baseball field. While they have made some nice improvements to it, the location is very undesireable, to say the least. It's in a ghetto...
