The Tycoons are 6-0 and tomorrow night at 7PM they face the Arkansas Rimrockers, also 6-0. The Rimrockers are a strong team. They start Kareem Reid, Scotty Thurman, Todd Day, Ali Thompson, and UNT alumni Shawnson Johnson (11 pts/11 reb. per game). They also just signed George Gervin, Jr. This will probably be one of the toughest games for the Tycoons. Please come out and support Chris and Mike if you can. Chris is our leading scorer and Mike has been a consistent spark coming off the bench. Please let me know if you'd like tickets. I'd be more than happy to leave them at the door.

What is your tie-in to the Tycoons?

I would like to make it to a game ...

My title is Assistant Coach, but mainly I'm just learning a lot. I wanted to see how things were on the other side of the game and this coach gave me a chance to do that. Just let me know which game you'd like to come to. The schedule is listed at www.txtycoons.com, but I will try to keep you all informed about every home game.

Ahhhh, it all comes together. Coach Mitchell...the greatness of Jalie Mitchell. Oh, how I remember the hours I spent listening to Coach profess his love for you. biggrin.gif

Coach Slinker would be smart to bring you back as one of her assistants. smile.gif

The UTA guys are doing great! Jabari is averaging about 16 points and 6 assists, Mack about 10 points and 10 rebounds, and Donald about 15 points, 5 rebounds. Those three are really big for our team.

Texas Stranger, thanks for the suggestion about Shawnson. You are so right! He's 4 of 16 from the line so far this season. We definitely had to let our guys know that.

JayDub, have I ever met Coach? I wish I could have met half of the people that came to our games. I wanted to tell so many people "thank you" because they came to just about all of our games. We really appreciated that. I feel like I know a lot of the people on this board, but I'm just not sure what they look like. Hopefully one day I'll get the chance to meet you all. Oh, and I wanted to stay on as a graduate assistant after I finished but for some reason it didn't work out. I would have loved to stay at UNT.

LOL, I remember that. The night they announced that our jerseys would be retired he had that sign and I meant to say something to him but I was too busy crying. He was great! Glad to finally be able to put a face with a (screen)name.

Jalie, you threw me a signed ball your last home game...still have it on display, at least until I can get you to sign a real one. wink.gif

BTW, my sign said "I *heart* Jalie", other people made the signs proposing marriage...

You were one of the best players I have seen, men or women.

Thank you so much for the compliment! I do remember throwing you the ball. I'm sure a lot of rumors were spread after that one, but I had to give you one because you were always there supporting us. That was my way of saying thank you.

I'd be happy to sign a real ball for you one day (if I still remember how). I was telling DoubleEagle last week that it's been a while since I had to do that. I miss it sad.gif

And Marc, I'm glad you enjoyed yourself. Let me know when you want to come back!
