Basketball Team

I think the addition of Jones as our coach, and all of the success of our football team, are key factors that are leading to the bball team's success. This team lost to a good Alabama team last night on the road, but only lost by 14 and really was in the game in the second half before bama made a run. Not sure if this team will get to the tourney this year or not, but may just make the NIT.

Statement was made by the Alabama coach.

“They were one of the worst basketball teams I have ever seen in Division I,” Gottfried said of the UNT team he faced four years ago. “From where they were then to where they are now is light-years ahead.”

We had a good team last year when Shawnson Johnson became eligible.

It is great that this young team is playing so well so early in the season. Everyone who calls themselves Mean Green fans need to come support this team. December 4th would be a great game to come watch, as it is on a Saturday at home against TCU.

Geese, I was expecting a blowout or even a shutout lol

but we played great, I'm not the biggest basketball fan, but I have been to two UNT games in the last two years and we got crushed, I hope we can get to the tournament this year.
