Tulsa Closes Out Exhibition Season With 82-49 Victory Over Cameron University

Hurricane opens season next Tuesday in preseason NIT home game

Tulsa, Oklahoma - Anthony Price scored a game-high 22 points and led four players in double-figures as the Tulsa Golden Hurricane romped to an 82-49 victory over Cameron University in front of 5,905 fans at the Donald W. Reynolds Center. The contest was the final exhibition game before the regular season begins next Tuesday for the Hurricane.

Seneca Collins added 16 points for the Hurricane, including 11 first-half points. Jarius Glenn and Charles Ramsdell each chipped in with 10 points apiece. Price connected on 9-of-15 from the field for the game.

Tulsa outscored Cameron 44 to 21 in the second half and shot 60-percent from the field. The Hurricane went on an 10-0 run in the first three minutes of the second half, and built its lead to 38 points at 82-44.

Tulsa used some hot shooting in the first-half as well to hold a 38-28 point lead at halftime. The Hurricane shot 55-percent in the opening half, while holding Cameron to 35-percent shooting from the field.

In the first half, the pesky Aggies kept it close as the biggest Tulsa lead was 13 points. Eighteen of Tulsa's 38-first-half points came in the paint. Tulsa's leading first-half scorer Seneca Collins scored three of his five field goals from the perimeter.

Tulsa now is now 43-2 in exhibition games since the 1969-70 season.

Tulsa opens the regular season with a preseason NIT game next Tuesday, Nov. 16 as the Hurricane hosts Wright State in first round action at the Donald W. Reynolds Center. Game time is 7:05 p.m.
