Did anyone else get emailed this VOICE survey from President Keller's office this past Tuesday April 22?

After constantly ranting on GMG about the lack of communication from UNT and Athletics, suddenly this email shows up, lol. (I think they must read this site).

The survey is directed over several subjects (including Athletics) about communications and participations.

I expressed how I viewed things currently, and how I thought things needed to be.   

Like most surveys, these are usually put out to let customers vent...but otherwise not much changes.

"This initiative — representing Visibility, Outreach, Input, Communication, and Engagement (VOICE)— is designed to ensure our alumni's voices play a central role in our future as a university."

Im sure that this survey will be the catalyst for athletics now mattering more than cleaning the buildings and grounds on campus.

Hey they have to start somewhere. It seems like our President’s approach is like our AD’s approach. A little stealth but they are curious and listening.

There are some good things happening subtly on the University front. I like that the billboards and positioning of UNT seem stronger.  Gone are the blue yellow haired billboards and the students represented seem professional, rounded and ready. Everyone wants our region UTA, UTD…but there is only 1 North Texas. Our motto needs to accentuate, THE University of North Texas.

We still need to give them he ll about  the luncheon. A true embarrassment to our degrees. But be honest. What do we want from our fine University. 

Me. Professional representation. Athletics to compete at the highest level meaning today if the media deal is right we should lobby to go to the PAC. Good coaches. Great teachers. Information overload about what is happening in Denton. Let me push back but I want to know about talks open to the public, performances by our schools and students. I want to know of happy hours, socials banquets we can support, what is going on in Denton 365 a year. If I’m near I might support. Artists showings. Alumni gatherings. Music festivals…

Glad they are doing this.
