Mother Nature disrupts another softball series. With Easter on Sunday, and bad weather expected Saturday, the ladies will play one game tomorrow and a doubleheader Friday starting at 3 PM.

Tight race in The American as we enter the last three conference series. UNT needs two wins this series to match their win total from last year. I maintain getting a top two seed is the highest priority but we are right there with #1 FAU and hold the tiebreaker, the only team in the conference to do so.

Other Series This Weekend

FAU @ East Carolina
Memphis @ South Florida
UTSA @ Charlotte
Wichita State @ Tulsa

I don't foresee South Florida or Charlotte losing this weekend, so a sweep at home against UAB is almost necessary.

Nice win. Fun to be there. Go Mean Green!!!

Really great to see Savage settle in after giving up  a couple of early runs due to some bad breaks.  She didn't get rattled and pitched a heck of a game.

Conley didn't have a cheap hit.  She was hitting seeds all overt he field.

Moffett also had an earlier HR to put us up 3-2.

Defense played well with some pretty DP's by Sparks and Simon.

Let's get the sweep today

UNT wins Game 2, 5-4!

Fell behind 3-0 - UAB scored a run in the second, third, and fourth innings. Then we came back with four in the bottom of the fourth, highlighted by a two-run blast by Conley to center.

Anneca gave up a solo shot in the top half of the sixth as UAB drew even, but a double by Ausha Moore in the sixth set up a game-winning SAC fly from Taylor Platt. Kayleigh Smith pitched flawlessly after the home run and collected the W. Rylee Nicholson closed the game out with a stellar diving catch in center.

Second game starting shortly!

Great 7-3 win. Skylar goes the distance.

Our team has now had 18 comeback wins......2nd most in Div. 1 softball (behind Auburn)

33-14.......15-6 in league play.

Three home games next weekend against USF.

If you ever go to a game....meeting the parents of the players....is an added bonus.

I heard Youmans say on the broadcast that Bearclaw and Simon were the first players we've had win back-to-back conference POTW awards since 2005. I think Conley made an argument to be the third consecutive. I think she ended up with 2 HR and 8 RBI this series.
