Softball at FAU

0-0, after 2. Annica Anderson started.....has pitched well....an inning ending double play in the first....helped.

Our girls haven't gotten a hit against their stud pitcher.

Will be a successful weekend if:

1) We sneak out of there.....with even one win. More would be awesome. 

2) Our girls take their softball bats, and beat into a coma, whoever it is....that thinks you must have stadium noise after every f'ing pitch. Not sure what it is....my hearing sucks. But it sounds like a really distorted boom box. Not sure....but it's annoying.  Edit: I think it's an organist. God it's annoying.

0-0 going to the 5th. Annica has sure done her job. No matter what happens the rest of the way.....she gave us four scoreless innings (so far)...and only one hit.

Nice win....only FAU's 3rd conference loss....and only their 8th overall.

Now....let's win this series. I wanted at least one.....to give our gals confidence if we face them in the tourney.

Huge win! It's like the girls read the Tarleton thread, lol.

Winning this series would be a tall order but now we just need one win to do it. Hopefully Tulsa can win a game against USF to keep us in second place, they already lost Game 1 6-1.

I think Miss Anneca earned the start tomorrow. I guess Skylar goes today. And maybe, just maybe.....not being "the ace"......she'll pitch well. She certainly has the size/talent.

Savage killed it, the girls killed it. Only run allowed was on an error in the final inning. Mean Green take the series and I'm guessing if we win tomorrow, will be first in the conference. Regardless, great job.

Run rule win............Mean Green 9  FAU 1

Skylar pitches great.....great....great. Gets the win. 

Pretty sure the run will be unearned. An error on Tatum Sparks. But man....that was a tough play. Runner on second.......a grounder to Tatum at short....the runner at second really blocked her view......she got the ball...bobbled it and hurried a throw to first. That is a tough error....if she got one.

And if you think these girls are delicate little flowers....today both catchers got hit by fouled off pitches. And both their catcher and our great "Moff" shook off the injury....in mere seconds. Members of the Texas Rangers would have been on the IL for a month.

As I explained earlier....I think that was a tough error. The runner at second....right in Tatum's line of view. I'm sure it was called an error....and maybe it was. But that was a tough play with that obstructed view.

I don't disagree with you. Reason I pointed it out is because Savage was so close to a shutout. A bobbled error with an obstructed view with 2 outs is all FAU could muster up against our squad.

FAU wasn't ranked in the top 25.....but they were the second team in Others Receiving Votes. So essentially......they were the 27th ranked team in the country.

If you haven't seen these girls play in person.........I think we have homestands the next two weeks.

We play UAB.....Thursday (6)....Friday (6) and Saturday (2). The league doesn't have teams play on Easter....which I love.

If you're a red blooded American male....wanna another reason to see them play? They're dang cute.

I didn't take it that you were disagreeing with me. Not at all. And I guess the only ruling that could be had on that play....is error. (for the overthrow). Love these kids.

And not trying to make an excuse....but I have a theory on why they didn't seem into the Tarleton game. I think (may be wrong)....they let the girls go to Boca on Wednesday. Soak up a little of the Sunshine State. Maybe even they got to go to the beach. Dunno. It's a long season....you're gonna have ups and downs. If (and not sure we did)....we let these gals....have a little fun in Florida....I'm all for it. BTW....doubt they get one cent of NIL money. And not all of them are on full scholarship. Go Mean Green!!!!

This is the kind of play I've been expecting from our team. Great job so far. It's amazing what solid pitching does. Hope we can keep this level of focus for the remained if the season.

Huge performance so far this weekend, now let's get greedy and finish it out. A win now and we're in first place, a loss and we're likely down to third again unless Tulsa can also deliver an upset to USF in Tampa.

Getting a top two seed would be humongous. We'd only have to win two games instead of four. I would love to avoid the Florida schools and teams like Charlotte and Wichita as much/long as possible in the tourney.
