I get the overall intent and I'm on board with making it more sane and fair.....

....but wow the details are phenomenally bad.

1. It's unconstitutional without collective bargaining for both athletes and coaches and does nothing to deal with it.

2.  Coach salary cap at 10X tuition.....great for SMU and private schools!

3. Conference restricted by timezone - totally "rebuild PAC" oriented.  But are we really saying Alabama makes more sense for travel in a conference with Minnesota than Georgia?  This could easily about distance.

Yes this model does favor private schools, but yet it gives some element of reason to the present situation. W/O something like this there will only be three at most “ super conferences” and the others will just be “ farm” teams for them. Football and BB drive the bus and support all the Olympic sports. If you drop to BB as the only revenue sport especially in Texas you eventually kill your entire athletics program! I use UTA as a prime example and they have baseball that at least contributes some revenue.
