I just think they require coaches that have that cult like Aggie mindset.  They had a good basketball team this last season and were ranked consistently.  He will be interesting to watch.

This guy may end up being the second coming of John Wooden, but wow, what an underwhelming hire.  He wasn’t even mentioned as a target for us as far as I know.

I disagree. I don’t think that is even a consideration, but Buzz hit the road because of lack of support/attendance. The Aggies have the resources to hire anyone, but Williams out word out that the support isn’t there from the students, etc. Nobody thinks of A&M when basketball in Texas is mentioned.

High school coach straight to Samford for five years?  Oh, there would be an uproar.  There would be an uproar on here is we hired Self, K, Izzo, etc...
