We’re going to need at least two QB’s, especially if we’re letting them run a bit more.  I think either Mestemaker or Reese will lead us to 8 wins…or more.

He played good enough to keep us in the game, but not good enough to win the one game we've seen him in.  So...

I'm not sure how I could say it any clearer than I already did.  We didn't win the one game he played in.  It's a team game, but you know that. 

We have an Air Raid coach, so the QB is always going to have to outplay a porous defense that can't tackle or perform basic fundamentals.  Maybe this new DC comes in and does something that hasn't been done anywhere else?  If not, then Mestemaker has to not throw picks at the end of one score games....which is what happened in the bowl game.

Mestemaker was awesome and showed major grit. But Texas State had no idea what he could do or what he was limited at. 

But Texas State knew that we don't have any decent defense, since we are an Air Raid, Leach-Disciple team.

I think Mestemaker played much better than any UNT fan could have expected, given the circumstances.   

Will he build on that performance?  Do we have other QB options as good... or better?   Morris knows QBs!

He doesn't know defense....which is why he hired someone new to make it better.

You need to re-watch a couple of those. especially SB 27 and 28.  Kelly contributed heavily to those Buffalo losses (along with Thurman Thomas, of course).
