Thanks for the wins and no championships. Thanks for the fact that our players went into this game knowing that their head coach was about to leave... Some were probably hoping that you would take them with you. This is a game we shouldn't have lost against a subpar team.

it was a 30+ win team that was consistently ranked above us by all "mid-major" polls/followers

for effs sake we have such a whiny-ass fan base.

Not making under the basket shots will lead to a lost.  Unfortunately, I don't think most NT players cared a whole lot about this game.

Let people whine. Let the emotions roll. Got to move through it to get to it. After the week we’ve had we can feel however we want to. And we still almost played for a Championship.

The teams were evenly matched --- I literally said weeks ago when looking at the bracket that if we got to the semis that UCI would be really tough to beat.

were you saying the same thing in the first 10 minutes of the game?

you're all better when we suck. winning is wasted on the lot of you.

Thanks for your opinion.

No I obviously was not feeling that way when NT was up by 15. However, the rest of the game were Cal Irvine won by 60-43; I did not think NT looked like the game meant a lot to them.

I have no idea what your last sentence means, other than you chose to insult NT fans.

*emotional post, I’ll feel better tomorrow*
If he hasn’t moved out yet, I’d make sure he has a six pack of Denton County Brewing in the fridge with a sticky note that says “Thank you for 8 years of service. Now get the h*ll out.”

I'm met those guys for the first time at Great American beer festival in Denver... Super nice guys but their beer is definitely not Armadillo

Still have at least four audacity North Texas glasses in my household rotation. Not the greatest beer but I certainly appreciated their love for UNT.

But either way. Bye Ross. The biggest win that UC Irvine had this year was UAB. I get that they won over 30 games but our choke in the late part of the first half feeding into the second half is inexcusable. That's a team that knows that they have no future together. Thanks to Wren Baker and co. for releasing the information that he was going to WVU during the middle of our tournament.

I thought the other team was just better.

The fatal flaw of our team was the lack of a dynamic scorer.

Wright could shoot but couldn’t get to the basket or create his own shot.

Floyd can get to the basket but didn’t take enough 3’s.

Lorient was a turnover any time he had to take more than three dribbles.

Fun season overall. Good luck to all the coaches and players at their next school.

Looking forward to the roster rebuild and next season.

I think Wright had just enough to be your number 1 scoring option here...but needed better complimentary parts as the 2nd/3rd options. if he was our 2nd option all year and we had  PJ Haggerty-type as the 1 we'd be looking at the best team in program history

end season/NIT Floyd was different...and had he been around all season he was enough to be that 3rd option above

Lorient has so much upside, but man I don't trust him with the ball in his hands for more than 3 seconds. I will LOVE it if he stays, but won't cry if he leaves

hanks for the fact that our players went into this game knowing that their head coach was about to leave...

In this landscape, coaches and players are all workign together to put themselves in the best possible position for higher pay.  In that sense, I presume our players support the coach just like they expect coaches to support them leaving for better NIL.

I don't have a true read on our locker room, but I imagine all of them banded together to fight a good fight before saying their goodbyes.

I hate to admit it since I denied it all season, but UC Irvine might have been a little better that us this year.

It was a good SEMI-FINAL game against a good opponent that will probably win it all.

I do thank Ross Hodge for two good seasons as head coach and 27 wins this year and eight great seasons at UNT.  I wish him luck at WVU.  It's not his fault that WVU had to announce before our season ended to appease their fan base.

Thanks to the team especially the seniors for a great year.  Atin Wright scored 25 points and Floyd 18.  If anything, the players with eligibility should have been more motivated to perform so he would take them with him or another team would.  The seniors should have been motivated because it was their final season.  Great game for Rondel Walker and Moulaye Sissoko.
