I got an email from the office of the dean of students called 'the Nest'...no mention of athletic success in that publication either.  I sent her an email pointing out to her that the athletes are students, too...no reply (don't expect one).

Not one mention of the big national NIT final four game on ESPN.  Click on Athletics link and this was the main article:

I feel like this administration takes athletics for granted and does absolutely nothing to promote or support it in the manner it deserves.

We should be reminding every single student, faculty and admin member of the importance of this game and cherish it.  Instead we pretend like it isn't even happening.  Just makes me sick.

I agree. But they did take the time to move the game out of the pit. LOL

You think the school administration that forced their basketball team out of their home arena so they could host an employee lunch of 100 people gives a single damn about athletics?

And there has been no real accountability over it!

I bet all these hits and poor support really help the NIL donations.

Not a single ounce of accountability. All it takes is a quick statement from Keller saying "hey yeah we overlooked the possibility of post season basketball in the Pit and that's on us. We'll be better". It's really not that hard.

That would have really helped.

I think it is the typical strategy of ignoring it and hoping the problem disappears or blows over.

It seems our AD is just a 'Yes Man' when it comes to addressing /promoting his department.

We need more than just a "reactionary" AD that responds only after things have happened.

College athletics these days, at our level, requires a visionary and forward thinking AD...going outside the box sometimes to inspire students and fans!  Like a PAC12 move.....lol.

F. Come on Jared you have to be on top of this!

Be relentless about your highly visible incredibly important slice of the university. You know business you know marketing. You know naysayers and roadblocks. You know it’s more than a coach that receives incredible recognition. It’s risk taking. It’s looking fear in the face because once you do that fear disappears. It’s gone. Demand the best for your athletics and people will fill your stadiums and arena.

Get in their face tell them what you need and get this university the Athletic profile it deserves and has earned.

t’s gonna get much uglier in the future. The administration is mad at how the 2% has stirred up the media and made them look like the apathetic idiots they are for UNT sports. They’ll get some more revenge in the years ahead.
