Their new coach Abell is a triple option guru and he ran a triple option with success at Davidson.  Went to FCS playoffs like three times etc...

But once that Rice option quarterback has massive success he is just going to transfer to… Army?…Navy?…Air Force?… oh they don’t do that.

When I stated we need to do this 2 yeara ago all our footbawwwl brethren laughed... 

The pros: 

You will only ever involve yourself in players that care about playing football. 

It's annoying to prep for 

It's generally widely successful 

Recruiting becomes easier 

No one will want your players, particularly offensive players. 

It's an identity 

Could keep typing...

Cons: 

It's "bOrInG" football

Boring?  I love the triple option.  The problem is where do you find QB's in this day and age fastbreak football??

You don't find quarterbacks.. you find high IQ running backs with leadership qualities and make them your QB.

I would love for us to run Jamey Chadwell's spread triple-option and RPO offense. 

It did wonders for Coastal Carolina and made an instant impact at Liberty.

There's plenty of dual threat HS QBs who you could recruit. Guys who may not get a sniff at QB at the P5 level but wants to play QB and would be the best athlete on the field at the G5 level. We already regularly seem to have some guys like that on our roster.
