Random thought: maybe a new coach should always keep at least one guy from the previous staff, for the sake of continuity and familiarity.

So- that would make the top two in the 48-52 age range. . . Then a young successful JC guy and someone else in their 30’s. See if we can get a couple of grad assistants (Kai H. And one of his former players).

Hurl is Ross' boy. If he didn't go with Ross, I'd be shocked. Phil won't have any problems finding an assistant job in the Big 12 or SEC. I think Stone will go wherever Ross does as a grad assistant/analyst...Ross loves him like a son and respects his fire. I'd love to see Johnny stay...he's 100% Texas roots. Andre is a toss up. He's got enough skins on the wall to take a Texas D2 HC job if he wants it. These chips will start falling into place after the NIT run is complete. Go Mean Green!

I think Coach Kwanza is coming for sure. Would love to see Johnny stay. Hurl and Forte will be with Ross. I think we have a hsot to keep Matty because his family is all in Oklahoma and he will want to be close to them.

I trust this new coach to hire his own coaches and buy his own groceries.
The only reason to go out of your way to keep a current assistant would be if they were a package deal with Lorient or Floyd and that ain’t happening.
