It's hard for me to get to fired up for next week. Kinda feels like when your girlfriend dumped you for a better-looking guy. If we win, all of the praise will go to Hodge and not the program and University in general. I will still be watching but not with the same passion. I still root for the name on the front but can't help but feel a little mad that they couldn't have waited until after the last game to make the announcement. Hodge is technically West Virginia's coach now. With all of the player movement in the portal, that is the way things are going to be in college sports. It's a business. Coaches and players are going to do what they think is best for them. Why should they have any loyalty to the schools? We as fans live and die with our school. I'm not going to start being a West Virginia or Texas Tech fan now just because our coach went there.

They really hung in there when it looked like UAB was going to run away with it. That Tillis loves to get to the line and shoots 84%. They are fun to watch and it will be a great matchup. GMG

Irvine isn't TOO far away from me, but probably too much of a hassle to camp out there all day given I have no idea when they practice (or when they leave for Indy).

Their big guy takes up a lot of space and gets his share of blocks. Pretty agile with the ball too. He will be a factor. Che is a 6'2" guard that has a nice stroke from the 3-pt line, but he has a bad wing....some sort of issue on his right shoulder. He was still bumping, dribbling and shooting, but when he didn't have the ball is arm was just hanging down and he kept holding it.

UAB looked tired and made some uncharacteristic mistakes down the stretch that allowed UCI to hang in there and get the win. I think our defense will be able to frustrate the Anteaters.

Man, you hit the nail on the head with how I feel. It has really taken the wind out of my sails for this tournament. Obviously, I still want us to win, but seeing a coach that I KNOW won't be there after these games makes it that much harder to watch.

LOL, if the school wants to put me on retainer I'll make the sojourn, but I am actually working today (after putting in an all nighter as we were looking at information from one of our vendors in India until 7am - got less than three hours of sleep before I logged back in at 9:45)

I'm 74 miles from UCI. Could be a 70 minute drive or a 4hr 39m drive. Not chancing it.
