I'm really, really concerned about this hire.
Looking at the direction Mosley decided to go after Littrell was fired, was narrow-minded and has proven to be a mere continuation of mediocrity.

Hodge literally fell in his lap.    His replacement is going to be much tougher to identify.

Except Moseley is a "basketball guy" like Baker, or so that is what has been said.

After the Elf hire, I have very very veeeery little confidence in Mosley to make a solid hire personally. He'll hire someone cheap that could, one day, maybe after a lot of trial and error, be an up and comer. We will lose most of the team after the tournament. We need a brand name coach to attract the new players.

NT would lose most or all the team after the tournament like the last few years, with Hodge or not.

I don't have a lot of faith in Moseley, but hopefully he will hit on a great coach.

Truth is that this could be a steal for WVU to get Hodge now.  One more season, with opportunities to prove himself even more, and he might get caught up in a bidding war with bigger schools/budgets wanting his services.

Seems like he's already a great coach, and getting him in this cycle could be great for Mountaineers.

Agree completely.

Wren knows what he’s getting. And he got him while he’s affordable. Probably got him on the cheap, as Hodge probably wanted out ASAP for anything that wasn’t a drop below here. And WVU is not a bad job at all. I’ll be very surprised if he doesn’t do very well there. WVU can be everything Tech has been in hoops without much heavy lifting.

If you didn't like the Elf hire, you don't like the idea of continuity.  Because that's why he was hired.

The previous ones, from Dickey-to-Dodge, Dodge-to-McCarney, then SL, probably checked off some of the boxes we want to be checked, but lacked continuity.  Meaning, college run game -to- texas passing scheme, then we went NFL(ish) running scheme.  Then Leach tree.

Even though I was concerned about lack of defense and championships, the idea of continuity from SL to Morris made sense and I liked that we were giving it a try.
