I don't blame him. The administration showed him firsthand that he wasn't respected when they forced him to give up homecourt advantage for a damn luncheon.

UNT competed for a conference championship and won 27 games yet couldn't get more than 4,000 people to show up to the Super Pit.

Hodge did everything asked of him and then some but got nothing in return.

WVU is starving for a winner and shows up even when the team is mediocre.

Like the OSU fans did last night.

Wren catching a little heat over hiring. Looks like WVU fans and media were surprised, graded hire between C+ and B.

I think if we were in their shoes we would see it as underwhelming. No NCAA appearances, no championships, and if you pulled up posts from a year ago you would find that large numbers on this board were opposed to any contract extension based on last year's performance.

I personally think WVU is making a good hire, but I am not a WVU fan.

This will be Hodge's favorite part over the years.

To be fair, this isn't the reason why he is leaving. He's going to get a major pay raise and play in a major conference that NT can't even think about matching. And I might be wrong here, but I think even in the AAC standards, Hodge doesn't get as much as others.

I am beyond heartbroken. An end of an era after this season. I knew something was ominous this week and I braced myself for our school to send him the bag. But knew this was a possibility. This is our reality when we succeed at a high level. 😞
