Ladies up by 19 at halftime in a fun, emotion filled game . No more A Johnson but others taking up slack. Tenacious defense causing many turnovers. Watch on ESPN +.

That ref crew has called games before and were sketchy, especially the old guy. Not good. 

I am curious also, however I think Brackens is a better player despite being undersized.

Yes, Brackens is one of the best athletes on the team.

Another win in a record breaking season. Good game. UTA brought their band, cheerleaders, and mascot. It was cool that they had a good showing, but their attendance was uncomfortably close to ours.

No idea what happened to Johnson. Burton mentioned postgame that "she's just no longer with us - her choice." She was listed on the paper roster available at the game and she's still listed on the roster online. So, I guess whatever happened was very recent. Just my speculation.

The men and women have a combined 33-2 record at the Super Pit this season. There is a chance the women could host again later in the tournament. Regardless if they get that opportunity it has been an amazing season of basketball at the Super Pit. GMG

I heard she just flat out quit and didn't say why.  Sad.

DENTON, Texas –The UT Arlington women's basketball team's 2024-25 campaign came to a close in the WNIT Second Round after falling 78-67 to North Texas inside The Super Pit on Monday night.
 
The Lady Mavs close the season with an 18-14 overall record, the best win total since the 2021-22 season when UTA won the Sun Belt Conference Tournament. In the Lady Mavs second ever WNIT Second Round game, UTA gave it a valiant effort, shooting 41.7-percent from both the floor and from deep, respectively.
 
UTA had three players register double figures in points, led by Koi Love who finished with 20 points to go along with nine rebounds, five assists and two steals in 35 minutes. Taliyah Clark and Avery Brittingham both finished with 12 points apiece. Clark chipped in with six rebounds, two steals, a block and an assist in 31 minutes while Brittingham added five rebounds, three steals and one assist in 30 minutes. Brittingham also finished with a career-high six blocks.

GAME NOTES

    UTA falls to 31-31 against the Mean Green and 14-14 in Denton in the all-time series.
    The Lady Mavs are now 2-5 all-time in the WNIT while falling to 0-2 in the second round of the tournament.
    The six blocks Brittingham finished with ties her for third most in a single game in program history, tying her with Rebekah VanDijk.
    UTA shot well from three-point range, knocking down five of 12 long range attempts.
    The Lady Mavs held the Eagles to only 37.5 percent shooting from the field.
    UTA put on a passing clinic, recording an assist on 60 percent of made baskets.
    The UTA defense forced 22 turnovers.
    The Lady Mavs were active in affecting shots on the defensive end, recording nine blocks as a team which ties their season high in a game this season.
    UTA was outrebounded 42-24.
    The nine blocks mark the 16th time this season the Lady Mavs recorded five or more blocks in a game.
