It has already been reported that NT has received a commit from Justin Howerton from Howe, a 6-10 Center ranked # 52 in Texas by Rivals.

Now they have a commit fromHarold Stewart from Crowley HS, a 6-8/6-7 forward ranked # 26 in Texa by Rivals.. NT over Boston College, SMU, Tulsa and Liberty

NT is on Ryan McCoy, Houston Madison Pt guard ranked by 42 in Texas by Rivals. He is considering NT, Tulsa and Liberty. He was scheduled to visit NT but cancelled due to attending a AAU teammates funeral. He states he will visit all three.l McCoy is listed as 6-1, 160.

Someone refresh my memory - do we usually get a good amount of Texas Top 100 recruits? Or is my memory correct in that we normally are happy to get one?

It looks like Johnny Jones is starting to show some of his recruiting prowess. I really hope everything goes as planned; this will be one hell of a recruiting class. ph34r.gif

Awesome. Sounds like a second excellent recruiting class in a row. Maybe people will actually start showing up to the games.

Harold Stewart is extremely athletic. He is also incredibly aggressive. He pounds the glass on both ends of the floor, and is a better than expected passer down in the low post.

Probably the one thing keeping Stewart from being a high major prospect is the lack of an outside game. If he had a good three point shot, OR if he could break people down off the dribble from the perimeter, then he'd be a top 100 national player, because he'd be an oversized small forward. As it stands now, he is a bit of a skinny, undersized power forward.

In any case, nice pickup for UNT. He should be getting minutes right from the beginning, and could possibly even start at some point as a true freshman.
