Higher Priority - Faculty Lunch or Hosting NIT bid?

Please send President Keller an email at president@unt.edu and voice your displeasure. I know it won't change anything but at least I feel like I got a chance to let him know how a lot of alumni feel about this blunder.

Correct.  However, that fan base is part of the problem as it is likely only about 10-20k people.  There's a lot of talk about the 400k alumni in the area but the reality is that probably 95% of them don't give a rat's a$$ about NT sports.  They didn't when they were in school and they certainly don't 20 years later.

The numbers that the AD has shown before indicates its actually 98% that don't care enough to give back a penny to athletics.

What saddens me the most as an alum is knowing that I went to a school that almost completely shows pure apathy to its teams, as if we are some ISD that just offers sports for the fun of it. I get that we are never going to be UT, A&M, Tech, or even UH. But when a large city school like UTSA can start up a program and zoom right by us within a decade, its more than disheartening, its just depressing. But that's my fault for accepting this from my alma mater. They continually tell folks like me that they don't care if we win or lose, just don't lose money.

An OSU fan board claims that OSU outbid UNT to host the game due to low attendance at UNT. It's pure propaganda but why lob a damn softball right over the plate in this situation?  It's so North Texas.

Total bullshit. Who is the moron that comes up with the attendance number?  Would love an explanation for reporting about 50% of actual attendance and how they arrived at these ridiculous numbers.

Kinda have to look at it that way for this one. It is PR.

The positive spin on this is the outcry it has caused! Shows the support the Mean Green have! Imagine PG (Pre-Grant) it would just be our GMG echo chamber, but it seems this has spread further! 

Not sure it will change anything, but at least the love from the fanbase is felt.

Would like to see someone from our admin stand up, break from the status quo and all their pre-packaged responses, and yell "IS ANYONE ELSE IN THIS OFFICE TIRED OF THE BULLSHIT?"

Break the cycle.  Stop going through daily motions, stop simply collecting your bi-weekly paychecks, and show me you feel like leveling up and out of this apathy culture.
