Jared has done a lousy job with communication, marketing, and getting students and fans to games.
Luncheon-gate may have not been all his fault, but he should have found an alternate home site rather than let both men and women's teams play an NIT away game.
This coaching hire will go a long way toward my confidence or not in him.
It's college decision season for high school seniors, but rising costs and shifting policies have changed the education landscape in recent years.
At the University of North Texas, enrollment is on the rise, and staff say their success comes from a forward-thinking strategy focused on innovation and adaptability.

Cross had a reputation of being difficult at UTA. There is no way Jared is bringing a guy like that in. His next hire will be just like the last, a guy that McCasland, Wren, Hodge etc all approve and give their blessing to. Jared has to cover his bases in case he gets canned for a fallback VP AD job somewhere that pays well. Remember that the average lifespan of a D1 AD is only 7 years. RV was the exception at 15.
The NBA is a long shot, but this dude is gonna go to the highest bidder in college basketball every season and will make some real money. He also probably gets another year of eligibility because of the whole JUCO deal that his current classmate started. I could see Hodge opening up his new wallet for him.
