What kind of scheduling conflict?!
These events are probably scheduled years in advance which takes priority over a crystal ball projection into the future as to post season play for our basketball teams. In addition the DMN quoted our AD as stating that the Super Pitt floor had to be removed for the scheduled event. I am assuming that there wasn't enough turn around time to host both events on Tuesday. The announced attendance last night was 2,666. I was at the game and it looked like more but I am an old man with failing eyesight. With attendance such as this you are going to have a hard time convincing any administration to bump a scheduled event for athletics. -

Attendance
Does seem like something funky is going on with this year's NIT attendance numbers. In 2022 we had 3,386 for Texas State and 4,866 for Virginia. In 2023 we even had 4,308 for Alcorn. Just an eye (and ear) test from a TV viewer 1,700 miles away, but 2,138 for Furman and 2,661 for Arkansas St, just seems significantly underreported. In some other thread there was mention of a mistake. Fine, but if there was a mistake and it's known a mistake was made, is it going to be fixed? -

What kind of scheduling conflict?!
Very much agree with this. This AD has no sense of marketing or connection with the students, alums, or fanbase, it's totally on self-serve, auto-pilot. -

I doubt the BoR or President of the UNT Denton campus are "hands-on" in the scheduling of events for the SuperPit.
