Heard Hodge as possible at Colorado State if Medved takes Minnesota.

Only thing worse than having your coaches be mentioned in searches is being MTSU with guys too good to fire but not good enough to be wanted.

Colorado state can have Herl since he’s been an interim there. We have got to keep Boss Hodge at all costs. The last time I heard Jared speak at a microphone on the state of the athletics a couple weeks ago, he did mention getting extensions ready for Burton and Hodge. Hang onto your seats folks.

Again,
Hodge hasn't quite accomplished what these bigger programs (like WVU & Xavier) are looking for in a coach.   However, we might have to revisit this topic (his accomplishments) on April 4th.
And his defense-first philosophy is not really the most exciting style to attract blue-chip recruits that those schools will want to target.

But this hiccup in University support certainly throws a wrench in things.

Let's just get this out there so @Dannymacfan can sit and wring his hands.

Current Openings:

Alcorn State

Columbia

Denver

Fordham

Iowa

Longwood

McNeese St

Minnesota

Navy

Oral Roberts

Penn

USF

UNLV

VCU

Villanova

West Virginia

Hodge is a candidate for every damn one of these and this doesn't include the D2, D3, NAIA and JUCO openings.

Out of that list I could see Iowa, Minnesota, Navy, VCU, Villanova, West Virginia and maybe UNLV as programs Hodge could show an interest in the HC position.  But money certainly talks.  Surely our crack AD has a plan to keep Hodge.  Surely.  Let's hope he stays at UNT.

I'm not here to comment on a coaching rumor...more here to defend West Virginia...I can tell most of you have never explored or even just driven through as it has some of the prettiest areas in the country. New River Gorge, Blackwater Falls, the Cheat River...all stunning.

now the people...well that's different.

They also have a good basketball tradition going back decades.

Minnesota is expected to hire Colorado State's Niko Medved as its next head coach, sources told ESPN.

What/where was this "state of athletics" you speak of?

From my view, never enough communication from him to the fan base about what's going on.

I agree, I do wish there was more communication. I don’t have Twitter/X or Facebook so I don’t see any of what he posts there. I’m told that’s where he mostly does communicate? Idk. meangreensports and 247meangreen is about the only places I read for NT sports news. Feel free if anyone has other suggestions, to drop them here. I’m always looking for more content.
