  • MCMLXXX changed the title to WVU to Investigate NCAA and Tournament Selection Committee

Not sure how to feel about this. Preaching about Quad 1 wins all season only to select a team that was 1-12 in Quad 1 games is brow raising, but it is a selection in which no set criteria has ever been established. It literally changes on an annual basis.

No one thought for 1 second that UNC was not getting into the field of 68. Not because of their play on the court, but simply because of the name on the front of their jerseys.

Sue or chalk it up to it being a case of ‘ it is what it is’.

LMAO!!!! Love the P4 elites eating their own. NCAA created this mess but the P4's are having a civil war.

I think they are correct though, UNC and UT have no reason to be in the tournament. Especially UT who only won 1/3 of their conference games.

You can add Oklahoma to your list. The Sooners (20-13 6-12) had the same SEC record and just 1 more win overall compared to the Horns (19-15 6-12).

Both UNC and Kentucky have missed the tournament in recent years with similar resumes.

It’s funny-ish. But weaponizing state institutions over basketball is stupid and a massive waste of resources and taxpayer dollars.

I forgot about OU, hate the media and selection committee have such hard ons for the SEC. Pathetic.

Based on Win/Loss or based on Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4 Win/Loss?

Call me crazy, but I don’t remember Q1, Q1A, Q2, Q3, and Q4 from years past. Was Memphis a Q1 win for us last year? What Q were we last year? The year before? I sure don’t remember discussing our need for a Q whatever win last season. We just knew Fordham was a bad loss based on their record. Someone clue me in.

UNC missed it in 2023 when they went 20-13 and 11-9 in conference play but 1-9 in Quad 1 and 6-4 in Quad 2. They declined an NIT bid because they think they're above that.

My opinion, they got in this year because they threw a tantrum in 2023. They don't deserve to be in. Texas didn't have a great year but I believe they have 7 Quad 1 wins which is hard to ignore. If anybody should be mad about being snubbed this year, it's Boise State. They went 3-6 in Quad 1 and 5-2 in Quad 2.
