I also would have preferred the Crown. Bigger names and the winning team will get NIL money to give their players.

Are any of our players getting redshirts this year? And if so how does that work with post season play? Is it like FB and that doesn't count?

Yes, college men's basketball does have a concept similar to a "redshirt," where players can sit out a season to retain eligibility, but it's not as flexible as in football. 

 

Here's a breakdown of the redshirt concept in college basketball:

• Not an Official NCAA Term:

  While the term "redshirt" is commonly used, it's not an official term used by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). 

   
• Retaining Eligibility:

  A redshirt season allows a player to sit out a season and still maintain their four-year eligibility for future seasons. 

   
• No Game Participation:

  In college basketball, a player cannot participate in any game (regular season or postseason) and still be eligible for a redshirt. 

   
• Medical Redshirt:

  There is a medical redshirt option, where a player can be granted an extra year of eligibility if they suffer a season-ending injury or illness before the midpoint of the season.

Thanks for the info. Seems unfair that FB gets up to 4 games and any post season play and keep their redshirts.

Agree.   Anything under say 4 total games (in minutes) plus post season should be allowed for bench players without costing them a full season of eligibility.

UC-Riverside were pretty competitive with Santa Clara till halftime, but then the Broncos annihilated them.

Red Wolves can be really good at times.

Routed Memphis at Memphis, massive comeback at UAB to win there, lost to Kent State (routed St Bonnie tonight) by one at Kent, beat Akron (13 seed auto bid from MAC) by 5 in OT, lost by 9 at Bama after being tied with 7 minutes left.

One the other hand... Lost to Hofstra who finished 10 games out of first in the CAA, lost to Rice who finished 12 games out of the American, and barely escaped Texas-Arlington who finished 9 games out in the Southland. Sun Belt had crazy four way tie for first and we lost four to the other three teams in first and one to Marshall who finished a game out of first.

So we can be a buzz saw or a wet noodle depending on the night.

Abu looked the same.

Bijan Courtes for WSU is a total whipping.  Came out of Kingfisher with Matt Stone as the more highly rated of the two, and I thought he was a disaster at OU and the same at WSU.  Kid is a nightmare.
