Can UNT still sneak in as an at-large? I would be more confident if they had lost in the finals.

3 AAC teams in??? NO.

You're saying the same thing as I am without realizing it.

No, you are blaming it on the coach’s offensive system and I am saying we are fine when we execute with confidence. Driving the lane and then either chickening out and kicking it out to anyone or going up weakly (Newell) is not playing with confidence. We play for a good shot. Take it when it is in the rhythm of the offense even if it is early in the possession.

Nope, not this time. AAC has traditionally been a multi-bid league.

Kicked off Cougar High board again?

We lost to UTSA, Temple, and UAB twice. There's room for error but not that much. This will be a 1 bid league unless UAB wins tomorrow.

Congrats to UAB. They played a really solid game today. It’s not a coincidence that the teams playing in the championship game have the 2 best players in the league on their teams in Lendenborg and Haggerty. Yax was the best player on the floor today and it really showed. UAB had an answer for every UNT push and potential momentum shift. They looked like defending AAC Champions today.

UNT is a good team but not a great team. Hard playing, defensive minded, and gritty. But not the most talented. The reality is that we lost to the NCAA Tournament calibre opponents we faced this year (Memphis, UAB twice, Utah State, High Point, McNeese) competitively, but still lost them.

Last comment: I’m really jealous of the Memphis traveling support. I realize we’re still building and don’t have their historical pedigree/success, but it’s clear we still have a lot of work to do to get up on their level.

Never thought you’d be one to give up with over 15 minutes left.

The vibe was off the whole game. I think when we had like 3 really bad turnovers at the end of the first half is when I started to think tonight wasn’t our night. We probably had alto play a perfect game to get a win.

This was the turning point for me as well.  They changed up the defense and we panicked and made some terrible passes.

I’ll also admit that I thought we were going to come back and win when we cut it to 4 late.  Then they hit the prayer shot to beat the shot clock and you knew it was over.

Vibe was off. You are right. When has Atin been good at baseline pin down wrap screens for 3? I can't recall a consistent performance there. Coaches think, for whatever reason, that is a good look. It is not. That's basically all he had in the 1st half.

Our bigs and PFs couldn't throw socks into a laundry hamper tonight.

Also, when is someone gonna hire Kennedy away? Yeesh. dude is legit.

I saw a lot of green, but no mean.  "Fans" were sitting on their hands and not on their feet.  No wonder we lost.

Fans don't miss easy layups and give away 30 turnovers, players do.
