You don't defend them? Psh. Sure.

But, again, Not. My. Job. I will personally not reach into any market... I will however use a modem of communication that I know is read by the people doing very poorly at THEIR jobs.

Reading comprehension is key.  I didn't say I don't defend them, I stated I was not defending them.  I am not sure you are reading what I am typing.  I am saying they need to stop reaching out to me (a regular attendee at games) multiple times via phone calls and texts and use those efforts to target another market or use that time for a better strategy.

Have a great Sunday.

Do you think he was attacking you in some way? It looks to me like he was quoting your comment to add to what you were saying, not in an attempt to say you personally needed to do something different. I'm confused by why you're so angry.

He 100% was implying that I go to another medium and promote North Texas athletics. A true UNT athletic department apologist.

I digress. He was indeed doing that. My apologies to him.

Removable curtains or something to block off all or portions of the upper deck seating

Don’t waste money on curtains. Just chain off the stairs with a sign saying “Section Closed”.
There are ushers at every entrance. If fans go past the chains, they can instruct them to sit in the lower section.
I’ve had season tickets for years and most games the upper deck is empty. When we do play a “big game”, there will be 200+ people sitting up there on both sides. The problem is that there are 4x’s that in empty seats in the lower bowl. It would look and sound better if the fans were together in the lower bowl.

It sucks but I doubt we'll ever be able to make significant changes that reduces seating capacity. The university will never allow it due to graduations.

But a couple things we can address:

- Like others have said, the lighting can look bad on TV. Just way too dark and drab. It might be due to where the cameras are stationed because I don't think its nearly as bad in person.

- I'd love if we got rid of the old press seats at midcourt. It looks so odd and makes it seem like no one is there since people are behind the green partition.

Count me as 100% opposed to any curtains or tarps over seats.  Everywhere they have this, it looks cheap and sorry.  If you want to fill up more of the lower bowl, go back to the lower end sections all being GA.  I do think the upper ends could be repurposed in some of the ways people have mentioned...like a bar.

Darkness can add drama when done right. I think we should lean into it and spotlight the court and let the rest of the stadium seating fall into darkness. It will also help hide empty seats.

The Lakers do this and it looks great on TV.

Curtains might give the impression of a smaller venue, creating a sense of a larger crowd.

Lighting:  Are you talking about the court or the seating areas?  I have never understood this argument.

Press Seating:  I believe this is premium seating with wait service now, but I may be incorrect.  I agree that it is an odd look and you would think they could remove those and add seats to this area, but they probably don't want to forego the additional revenue.  Would be curious to know what those seats generate in revenue vs. what they could generate as regular seats.

The Loge seating you are referring to have both service and last I heard an iPad for live stats. I don't recall the minimum donation required for a seat but it is far and above what the regular season ticket seat requires. The minimum donation is larger than the floor/coutside seats.

What kind of revenue do you have questions do you have exactly?

Thanks for the clarification on the loge seating.

Revenue question: How much revenue does the Loge seating generate vs. what is the potential revenue if those seats were removed and regular seating was installed and sold as season tickets.   Hope that makes sense.

That doesn't bother me in the least.  Temple's court, on the other hand, drove me crazy yesterday. Their scoreboards reflected off the court and it would go from drab to very bright and then back.

I think for individual seats the season ticket donation is right around a hundred dollars and the loge seating might start around $1000 per seat.

For comparison sake courtside/floor seats are several hundred dollars per seat. I want to say it was like $400 for men and $175 for women? I don't remember from the last time I renewed my seat.

I can't speak for the loge seats but there is a waiting list for floor seats and I expect the minimum donations to increase over time.
