High Point makes the Big Dance
That price tag also includes a hotel and conference center. The UTA stadium, College Park, cost the equivalent of $107 million in 2024 but it also seats 7,000 instead of High Point's 5,000. Cost of construction in DFW is far cheaper than North Carolina. College Park is the stadium we need to emulate and potentially surpass in amenities. -

UNT picked as top March Madness Cinderella candidate
I didn't use FAU as an example because their seed was so good, they likely would have gotten in regardless if they won the conference tournament or not (probably in the First Four, but still). WKU was more in the range we'd be if we won the conference tourney. -

Practice time for players graduating and/or transferring out? Cool. Why do you say we'd get clobbered? If we won the AAC, I'd imagine we'd be a 12 seed. Lunardi has the current 5 seeds as Oregon, Missouri, BYU, and Arizona. Oregon beat Oregon State by 3, Missouri lost to Memphis by 8, and BYU and Arizona both have some bad conference losses if I'm not mistaken. We can beat them. -

I wouldn't call the super pit a huge pile of steaming dung. But its certainly starting to resemble fecal matter. But its depressing to see High Point dominating the arms race vs the likes of UNT and half the AAC. And it's not just HPU. It's all over the country.
