Win Game 1.......5-4.

Lose Game 2.........8-7.

The Game 2 loss is strictly on Coach Delong. Skyler was gifted a 7-2 lead. And in the fifth inning....Rodney leaves her in so long.....that she lets the game get tied.

Finally he brings in Kayleigh Smith and she pitches well the rest of the way. I think she gave up the 8th run...but am pretty sure that gal was the responsibility of Skyler.

Any adversity seems to just mess Skyler up. In that 5th....we had one out....and then Cierra Simon made a great play for out 2. But they reviewed it....and showed that the runner was safe. That seemed to mess her up enough....to where she just started throwing BP.

Bad, bad loss.

Couldn't agree more. Savage had lost her stuff and De Long was too slow to make the change in the circle. The girls were up 7-2 and had earned the win. De Long gave it to Charlotte. We should be 2-0 in conference play.

Our team isn't ranked and doesn't have the OOC resume to earn an at large bid to a regional. This is a good team, but they can't afford to have our coach lose games for them. Savage may have given up the runs, but De Long allowed her to do it.

Tough game to lose. Despite the bad inning, we still had three innings to remedy it and we had already scored 7 but Charlotte shut us down.

Anyone plan to make it out tomorrow for the rubber game?

I will be there.

We lost the final game, 5-3.

Anderson started, Kayleigh Smith relieved her....and got the loss.

Then down 4-3 at the top of the 7th....Rodney brought in Skylar. She gave up a run....unearned. But the fact that she can't pitch a clean inning....a hit and a walk.....caused there to be runners on base. (for the error to bring in a run from 3rd). Skylar pitched 30 pitches in the 7th.

I haven't seen Mackenzie Childers any of late. Makes me think, she has quit.

So we have very little pitching right now. I hope it can turn around. Love watching them play.

I sometimes think NT would be better off never signing Savage.   She is so erratic, I can't believe Delong keeps depending on her in pressure situations.

She should be a starter only, and should be replaced as soon as she starts walking batters.  She has immense physical talent, but she has seldom been a reliable reliever.

It stills remains to be seen if Delong can make NT successful at this level.   I hate to think it, but softball also may have NIL issues were NT can't get the level of players it has in the past.

Haven't seen her as in at the games on the bench?

I was wondering about her.  We have a new pitching coach that came with a pretty solid resume.  Our two top returners, Savage and Childers, have been unbelievably wild.  I would have thought she could have fixed this by now.  Both of these young ladies are incredibly gifted physically.

I went to all three games this weekend.....didn't see her.

She is still listed on the roster, which doesn't mean a thing, but I was curious if we would see her again.  Poor young lady just lost control
